Welcome back to my blog! I have a bit of an exciting update to share with you all. I entered Zoe's Walk in the Park into Game Gen's Fight Club on itch.io and won first place! Here's the link to the page if you wanted to check out the other submissions, they're all fantastic games!

I'm not going to lie, it was a pretty stressful experience. All of the people who submitted games were in a VC together along with our mentors and other people who wanted to vote on the games. We played all of the games, talked to each other about the pros and cons, and rated each game accordingly. It was a bracket system, you'll see which games were put against each other in the image below.

I received some very valuable feedback on my game during this process and will use these criticisms to make my games better in the future! But despite some small things I'd change, I'm very happy with the game! It was my first time making a game without an extensive tutorial and it was also my first Game Jam, and I can't imagine better results! Lots of thanks to my mentor Ian for all of his help with any problems I ran into as well as proposing great ideas to implement in the game, and lots of thanks to my family for all of their support!

I also updated my itch.io page this week, I'm planning on making it more visually appealing as time goes on, but I've been too busy with other things to truly focus on it. That being said, I did make a logo for my page and I'm thinking of implementing it on this blog somehow! Here's how it looks right now, and if you have any constructive criticism on it, feel free to let me know in the comments!

As a bonus for reading this far, here are some more nudibranch sprites I've created for the game I'm working on! I'm learning more about Construct 3 every day, and each day I get closer and closer to making it a reality! I hope you enjoy looking at these little guys!

An aegires villosus sprite, a type of nudibranch (or sea slug) that is light pink with orange rhinophores and darker pink, almost purple, cerata

A notodoris serenae sprite, a type of nudibranch (or sea slug) that is grey with black spots, has a yellow "underbelly" (though it's more of a foot), and yellow rhinophores

A doriopsilla gemela sprite, a type of nudibranch (or sea slug) that is a deep yellow with light yellow, almost white, spots and yellow rhinophores

Thank you so much for reading this update, and have a great day!
